It must be more than a month ago since I got an email from Australia.
Suzanne from Sewpony asked some Dutch bloggers to try her newest pattern “Miss Polly” because she released a Dutch version.
I am so pleased that I was one of them.
Since I cleaned out my fabric stash, I had to buy some fabric for the dress.
I chose a grey-colored shiny jeans and combined it
with a pink fabric from Timeless Treasures.
I thougt the colors would be too soft for Emma but they look great on her.
I made a size 9 because Emma is a big girl for her age (7 years).
The “little” girl is only 30 centimeters smaller then me.
Can you imagine!!??!!
I love the pattern because of the beautiful lines you can create with the piping.
Altough there are some nice options, I kept this version quite simple.
These days I find it very hard to dress Emma.
She is getting bigger, in many ways
and it looks like she doesn’t know what to do with her big body…
I think this will be one of the last patterns made for children
and I will have to change and make some clothes for teenagers…
I’ll have to find a compromise between the little girl she is in her mind
and the big girl she is on the outside…
Another challenge I’ll have to deal with…
